Description
Walk up the narrow river gorge of the Modi Khola to the famed Annapurna Sanctuary, a glaciated amphitheater surrounded by more than 10 snow peaks over 20,000 feet high. Upon entering the Sanctuary you will find it is difficult to believe there is such an amazing place! The trail south of the Sanctuary is equally fascinating, passing through intriguing Gurung villages, deep gorges, and lush rhododendron and bamboo forests on the way up to a land of ice and snow. Easily accessible from Pokhara, the Annapurna Sanctuary is one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal.

Beyond Tatopani, you can choose between two different ways to get to Pohkara. The Ghorepani and Poon Hill option includes a dawn ascent to the summit of Poon hill for amazing views of the Dhaulagiri Himal and the Annapurna Himal. The Ghandruk option avoids that last little bit of uphill and gets you back 2 days earlier. Pricing varies by option.

4	Drive to Kande in a chartered vehicle. Camp near Kande.
5	To Tolka.
6	To Nayapul.
7	To Chomrong.
8	To Dovan.
9	To Deorali.
10	To Annapurna Sanctuary.
11	To Deorali.
12	To Sinuwa.
13	To Chromrong. Short day, free afternoon.

Option 1 - Ghorepani and Poon Hill

16	To Ulleri, after a sunrise hike to the top of Poon Hill for panoramic viewing.
17	To Pame.
18	To New Bridge and then by bus into Pokhara to a hotel. Rest of the day is free time.
19	In Pokhara. Morning: free time. Afternoon: guided touring in the Pokhara area.
20	Fly to Kathmandu mid morning, after sunrise boating on the lake. Free afternoon.
21	In the Kathmandu Valley, guided touring and shopping.
22	Depart Kathmandu for home.

Option 2 - Ghandruk

15	To Sueli Bazar.
16	To New Bridge and then by bus into Pokhara to a hotel. Rest of the day is free time.
