The Foothills to Everest Trek

Grade           Length
Strenuous          25 days

Description
This trek is similar to The Classical Everest Trek, but is a bit shorter. The starting point of this trek is at Phaplu, which is at about half way from Jiri to Lukla. In the first couple of days you will enjoy the middle hill country and its warmer temperatures as you acclimate for the upcoming, higher altitude in the Mount Everest area.

From Nunthala on day 5, the itinerary is identical to the The Classical Everest Trek. As with that trek, you may substitute one of the following three options for adventuring beyond Dingboche on day 13: the Imjatse option, the Gokyo option, or the Cho La pass option. Prices vary by option.
